Hello All,

We are having an issue where we are running two passes on a toolpath, but the passes are not lining up with each other. Does anyone have any recommendations on how to fix this? 1: There are two passes, and they should line up on the raised lettering, but they do not. 2: The letters, although they are designed with the same depth as the pocket toolpath, the edges of the letters are done much lower.

The workflow we followed goes like this: 1: Ran pocket clearing toolpath using 1/4in end mill. The total cut depth is 0.2in going over two passes. 2: Changed bits, and ran the finishing toolpath using a 1/4in 60deg v-bit. The cut depth is 0.2in going over two passes.

As you can see in the photos, the finish passes cut deeper than the pocket clearing toolpath. Additionally, you can see the finishing toolpath passes are not even with each other.

The software is VCarvePro

Thanks... Mark
